The individual will lead a team of individuals and will be a key business partner to both the Public-Sector team and our broader Industry organization. The business development manager focus is to help the Operations and key stakeholders drive the capture strategy, partner strategy, planning, and team operations for pursuit of large deals at Accessible ICT. The Business Development Manager will be a key and strategic partner across the business, become a trusted advisor and business partner to the broader Industry team operating at highest levels of the company.
Responsibilities (provide role responsibilities)
- Manage a team of Business Development and Capture professionals
- Coordinate and support face-to-face customer meetings with senior management and Executives
- Identify large, multi-year deals and develop relationships with associated key business decision makers
- Build & Maintain Relationships within System Integrator Accounts – Understand the System Integrator business model and sales cycle
- Develop and execute account client call plans
- Consistently provide accurate strategic pipelines forecasts of large deals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is a seasoned business professional with multi-disciplinary experience, who has the aspiration and potential to grow as a broad business leader, especially in leading multi-year, multi M$, digitally transformative deals
- Excellent skills in all aspects of planning, cross-group collaboration, communications, analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, innovation, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead cross group/functional teams with a high degree of independence and success
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and take action on go to market approaches, joint value propositions, and business cases around strategic partnerships
- Building long term relationships and key influencers
- Over 5+ years of leadership, teamwork, interpersonal skills and experience with managing multiple business development efforts
- Strong knowledge of Federal and/or State Sales Cycle, Budget, and Programs
- Knowledge of formal proposal processes such as Shipley
- Following and developing Capture Management procedures and tools
- Skilled at mentoring less experienced Business Development, Capture and Proposal roles
